~ Spring Cleaning ~

I finally do up my spring cleaning for this year. Started since December and did bit by bit every weekend. This time round the scope of cleaning up was massive. I dig up the storeroom, wardrobe, drawers etc.. Plus with the new paintworks we had a few weeks ago, it was one of the toughest I had so far.

Well, I wouldn't say it's a big transformation compared to before.. but my living room surely looks brighter with the new paint! It's not that yellow anymore.

The Chinese New Year decoration is also slightly different from the previous years. We bought a calligraphy paintwork and also a framed deco. I really like them a lot! :) As usual, we will buy a pot of plant to lighten up our house with some greenery. As there isnt' much sunlight within the house, we bought a pot of 金钱树 and 2 small pots of bamboo。They are indoor plants and hence it will last longer and we can maintain it better. :)

Common Toilet - Place where Denver brushes his teeth and Gladys Pee & Poo.

Study Room - Light Apple Green walls where all of us will spend our time at the computer.

Children Room - Initially I wanted a brighter yellow for this room.. turns out the colour is a bit greenish yellow instead. Well, it still looks brighter compared to the previous time.. :) Now it's a room where Denver & Gladys play and Learn. Hopefully in time to come, it will also be a place where they sleep. :)

Master Bedroom - Where Mommy reads storybooks to Denver & Gladys and also where all of us rest and sleep.. From a dull pinkish wall, it is now a light blue bedroom with mainly Blue and Brown theme for the furnishing. Blue is a lucky colour for all of us.. Hopefully it will indeed bring us LUCK! :)

~ Happy 7th Anniversary! ~

Today is our 7th ROM Anniversary... how times flies.. I met dear hubby when I was 20 years old, in my first job at AVS... and now 12 years have past. :) I have 2 lovely children and a loving hubby.. and so I am very blessed, happy and contented.

Hubby wanted to take me to eat something different this year.. Wagyu beef... we searched online for awhile and finally decided to have the super expensive buffet at YAKINIKU DAIDOMON located at Keypoint. The normal buffet cost $43++.. in order to enjoy the Wagyu beef buffet, we top up another $20.. so that makes it $63++ per pax.

We reached Keypoint and hubby drop me off early.. actually I didn't suspect a thing when he asks me to go to the restuarant first.. I waited for very long and was wondering if he had a hard time finding a carpark lot... Finally, I saw him running to me with a bouquet of flowers.. SO SWEET! Very touched.. I really didn't expect him to buy flowers cos the buffet is kinda expensive already. Thanks DEAR!!

Bouquet of flowers (12 Red Roses)

We were so hungry by then.. I delibrately had a light breakfast so that I can stuff myself with the food later... Looking so forward!! We ordered drinks and start to look at the menu and call out our dishes.. :D

First round! Prawns, Salmon, Butter Fish, Chicken Wings, Cold Tofu, Pork Belly, Onion, Beef and Chicken Sausage, Egg Soup with Vegetable, Pig Kidney and Liver, Marinated Raw Beef with Egg Yolk, Lettuce that goes with the beef... and of course not forgetting the Wagyu Karubi, Wagyu Nakaochi and Wagyu Harami!!!! YUMMY!!!! While eating, I try to take photo of all our orders.

Lime juice (1 for 1) and sauces for the dishes to come. :)

Prawns, Salmon and Butter Fish

I personally prefer the Butter fish as its really tasty.. Salmon is alright too.. As for prawns, well.. we are just plain lazy to take off the shells.. hehehe

Chicken Wings, Cold Tofu and Onions

Marinated Beef with Egg Yolk

Hmmm.. the beef is raw.. and after mixing with the egg yolk.. frankly, I can't recognise its the taste of beef! hehehhe.. but not too bad.. a different flavour by itself.

Chicken and Beef Sausages

Egg Soup with Vegetable

Pig Kidney and Liver

The sausages are just normal..nothing too fancy about them..As for the Egg soup.. Ummm.. so so bah. The only dish that I didn't try was the Pig Kidney & Liver cos I never like them so no comments. hehehe :p

Pork Belly

I think the Pork Belly was nice.. it goes well with the sauce and lettuce too. :) Not bad.

The MAIN dish! Wagyu Beef!!!

Here comes what we have been waiting for!! The Wagyu Beef!! We ordered all the 3 kinds of Wagyu beef to see which is the nicest and the conclusion is the Wagyu Karubi. :)

Ok.. maybe I Suah Ku.. It's the first time I am eating this kind of beef with so much marbling on it. Although may not be the highest grade but it is still delicious! Really different from the other beef that I used to eat. THUMBS UP! NICE!

Our 2nd round! We ordered Cuttle Fish, Lamb meat, Salmon Rolled Sushi and of course another plate of Wagyu Karubi! Yummy!!

Lamb Meat

The lamb meat was alright. Came with a block of butter and the fire was so strong when we BBQ it. :)

Cuttle Fish

Salmon Rolled Sushi

The cuttlefish was sliced very thin and the taste was not too bad. I forgot to take the Sushi roll when it was served. Cos I was too happy to see my favourite Salmon and almost ate them all.. hehhe.. left 1 piece for photo-taking. :p

3rd round, another plate of Wagyu Karubi and Butter Fish and we are finally settling down to our last round of ice-cream and fruits. :)

Wagyu Karubi and Butter Fish

Our Chocolate and Mint Ice-cream as well as fruits :)

Final bill... $154 plus! That's about $77 per person.. WooW!! Till date, the most expensive buffet I ever had. Well, is it value for money?? Ummm.. for the quality of the food, I guess yes bah. If you can eat more of the Wagyu meat, it will definitely be much more worth! My stomach was so full and I could hardly walk. Bloated.

We went to Funan IT Mall after lunch where Hubby bought a PS3 game.. We walked over to Robinson and I manage to buy some new underwears for Denver and a new sling bag ($25.90) using my Robinson voucher. :) *Happy*

Hubby also bought a pin-hole camera ($17.90) for Royston's birthday present and we finally headed back to my sil's place to finish up some paint jobs and had dinner. Couldn't eat much as we are still very full with our heavy lunch earlier. :p What a day!!

Thank you Hubby and Happy 7th Anniversary! LOVE YOU! MUAK!!

~ Count down to CNY! ~

5 days to CNY and I still have couple of stuff undone! Windows and Fans not cleaned, Toilets not washed, Bedsheet not changed, Ang Bao not completely packed. Urghhh.. The only difficult chores are the windows and fans.. they are the killer.. Well, I am only left with Saturday night since I have a late night meeting on Friday.. Hopefully I can get hubby to give me a hand so that I can finish them faster.

I can't wait for CNY to come.. this time will be a short holiday since we are going back to work on 初三 (Wednesday). Hope I can stay healthy and enjoy my CNY this time and not get sick like last year. :)

~ Early Reunion Dinner~

Today we had our early Reunion Dinner at my mum's place as Brother Owen need to go back to Malaysia with his wife next week. I am extremely happy to see my favourite dish made by mum.. her special homemade "Wu Xiang".. It's my all time favourite since childhood! I can eat 2 bowls of rice with just Wu Xiang as the only dish.

Although I don't really fancy steamboat, the food was alright. :) The only dissapointment probably would be Mum and Dad didn't sit with us for dinner.. Mum actually said that they have already eaten... sighz.. It's already a very rare chance to have all of us sitting and eating together and we missed it... Maybe next time we should just take them out to eat instead.

Anyway, I always enjoy eating reunion dinner.. apart from the good food, it's also gathering together as a family. I still remember my childhood days where there will be chicken, wu xiang, fried prawns and I'll eat alot! After that, I'll stick to watching the CNY programs on TV.. and stay up till late in the night.. Ahh.. those are the good old days..

~ Catching Up ~

It has been a busy day at work today. I guess the long holiday season that just passed has made me lost my momentum. The long journey to work tires me down... I usually plan my spring cleaning that needs to be done every week and I will religiously follow my schedule to complete. This time round I didn't plan and I felt so tired and lazy. Yawnz.

CNY is around the corner and I still have a couple of stuff pending for me to do.. clean up the fan and windows, put up new curtains and bedsheets, buy and put up CNY deco, prepare red packets, scrub the floor and a final dustup of the whole house. Hmmm... seems like I have quite a fair bit of chores undone.. :( Will see if I can catch up in the next 2 weeks.

Work is also catching up a lot too. There are projects lined up, meetings and also daily cases to see and resolve. Got 2 meetings today and 2 tomorrow and I am so sleepy now.. will hit off to bed after my meeting ends at 1130pm tonight.

~ Terrible Support Week ~

My 2nd time on Primary support and I was prepared to get calls as it was over the Christmas and New Year holidays. True enough, I had a terrible weekend. I received a call on Saturday before noon. Initially hubby wanted to go out for lunch ... but due to the emergency page, now I had to stay home.

It was an eRoom creation case... which is weird.. cos it should NOT be emergency.. @(#*$(*#.. anyway, I thought it was simple and I can complete it... Unfortunately, the password was somehow wrong...sighz. I end up seeking help from my team lead.. but he also did not have the correct password. -___- ..so I am left with no choice but to call the command center to get the eRoom support group to assist with the creation case first.. and we'll settle the password issue on Monday... That took me 3 hours..

Hubby bought me lunch and I ate after settling the case... it was fine throughout the day but I got 2 pages in the middle of the night on Sunday.. my Blackberry started to ring again at around 1:50am... still feeling very sleepy.. but I pulled myself up and went to the living room to work so that I don't disturb hubby and the kids... the good thing is both pages are related to the same case... but the bad thing is the liasing and getting people to support took me hours... by the time the case is settled.. its already 5am.. I drag myself back to the room and sleeeep..

Still I woke up at 8am... there was an event at the hardcourt with free games, free food etc.. so I drag myself up again, brush my teeth and bring the kids down. There was already a lot of people downstairs.. Lucky fil gave us some tickets that he took from the temple yesterday.. so we used the tickets to get free food first.. there are kuehs, cakes, putu mayam, kueh lapis etc.. we grabbed a few each.. :)

Hubby went to queue and get some balloons for the kids, Denver had a green sword and Gladys a pink flower wristband.

The other game stall queue were too long.. so Denver and Gladys queue up for the jumping balloon instead. Each group is only allowed to play for 10 mins.. so we didn't wait for too long before it's their turn. :) Denver was busy running and jumping around in circles.. while Gladys stay on top jumping on the same spot. I guess that's safer for her too.. there are just too many kids around.

We can't stay for too long as Denver has to rush for his first Speech and Drama lesson today. So after the game, we took them home. After sending Denver to the lesson, Hubby put Gladys at my inlaws for the morning so that I can rest awhile at home after a looong tiring night. I tried to sleep but did not manage to rest well. Hubby bought me lunch after taking Denver back from class. Denver was happy and told me that it's not boring and how he enjoyed it... there are even 6 items that he needs to bring for his next lesson. :) Really glad that he loves it. Hubby hope that he will be able to express himself well and not have stage fright like him.

We took Gladys back after lunch and I finally managed to catch a quick nap with her.. but guess what? I was awaken at 5pm by the alerts again.. I was thinking.. "Not again!" Lucky, it was a false alarm.. those are the delayed alerts from last night. Phew!

I finally manage to survive through Sunday and Yeah!! I'm off duty till next month.. :)
