Last night, I gave Denver a final 'orientation' on what to expect on his first day of school. When will be his recess time and also raise his hands to tell his teacher if he needs to go to the toilet. Don't be surprise that many children forget/scared to do so. I ran through the items he'll be bringing to school and also role-play with him on how to buy food in the canteen. :p (Mommy pretending to be the auntie selling food and Denver practising how to take his coins out from his wallet and get his change back). All is set and ready to go! Denver is very excited to start school tomorrow which I am glad that he is!
As for Gladys, she has her stuff ready too and will be taking the school bus to Nativity. Being at a younger age, I'm not too sure how well she will cope. Nevertheless, she seems somewhat excited too and knows she has a new water bottle, new shoes, new uniform to go to school with.
Hubby and I will need to attend the wake later till very late night, so the kids have to bunk in with my inlaws tonight. We have carried all the stuff over earlier and as tomorrow is also my grandmother's burial date (出槟), it's going to be a busy day! Hopefully everything will goes well!
