~ Handicraft - Sand Art ~

During our trip to Genting last month, we redeemed 2 pieces of Sand Art using the points gathered at the arcade. As soon as we returned, Gladys didn't forget to remind me to do this with her. :)

We finally sat down and spent some time in the evening completing the Sand Art together. Ironically, it was also my first time doing this and I didn't know where to start.

For a start, I peeled the wrong side of the paper out. I also believe I should have started filling up the empty space with the darker sand colours too. The bright pink colour went really nice on the Elephant skin but the problem arises when I start to put the darker blue and green on the picture. It 'stained' the lighter pink area and made it looked darker.

The end product wasn't too bad but the most important thing was Gladys enjoying herself 'playing' with the sand and mixing it. :)

~ Free NFC tickets to Singapore River Cruise! ~

NFC 2011 is back! Like previous years, I joined the contest via the nfc web page last month in hope to be one of the lucky winners to win free tickets to one of the listed attractions. (Singapore Flyer, Hippo River Bus, Hippo River Tour, Singapore River Cruise, Chinatown Heritage Centre, The Art Science Museum, Sands Sky Park and Jurong Bird Park).

My hopes were dim as 25th June (which is this Saturday) is approaching. To my pleasant surprise, I received a letter today that I won 7 tickets to the Singapore River Cruise!

Thank you NFC!! We will be looking forward to enjoy our family time together before the school reopens next week!

~ Post Vacation Blues ~

I just got back from our family's 1 week holiday and is suffering from various post vacation symptons. We had a pretty packed and tedious schedule. Our family travelled from Genting to Ipoh and upon returning, we headed straight to chalet at Downtown East.

Apart from burning a hole in our pockets, my entire body is aching and am lacking of beauty sleep. Just this morning, Hubby sent me to office directly from the chalet. I felt like a zombie throughout the rest of my day and is extremely happy to find comfort on my own bed again. Holidays are fun but it still feels good to be back home again. ^_^

~ F&J Wedding Lunch ~

I really enjoy attending wedding lunches or dinners with a bunch of good friends. Apart from sending our best wishes to the newly weds, it is also a get-together session where we exchange on what's happening lately and having fun drinking and cracking jokes.

These great colleagues and friends whom I was fortunate to meet during my previous workplace are truly my 'beloved' and always will! ^_^ I tend to act a bit crazy when I am with this bunch of cool friends.  The good old days that we shared and keeping in touch with each other. Therefore, it's heartwarming to witness F&J's wedding this afternoon with all of them.

Congratulations and Wishing F&J a very Blissful Marriage!

~ KDrama - Best Love/Lie to Me ~

I have been following a few Korean Dramas lately which has been keeping myself entertained throughout the week. Best Love (The Greatest Love) is about the love story between Goo Ae Jung (ex-celebrity of a girl band) and top star Dokko Jin. I was attracted to the drama as the interactions between the two leads were hilarious. With Pil Joo (oriental medical doctor) falling in love with Ae Jung and Se Ri (Ae Jung's ex-band mate) developing interest with Pil Joo and having a fake love relationship with Dokko Jin, the drama takes on a different turn. Dokko Jin eventually realised his love for Ae Jung and I am looking forward to see how these 2 cute, loving leads will get through under the public media attention and if Dokko Jin can manage his medical condition.

Somehow I only started to follow Lie to Me after episode 7. Yoon Eun Hye and Kang Ji Hwan are one of my favourite kdrama actor and actress and I like their couple combination in this series. Hyun Ki Joon (Kang Ji Hwan) is a CEO of a hotel while Gong Ah Jung (Yoon Eun Hye) is a Ministry of Culture officer. Through a series of situations and lies, both of them were mistaken to be married. With the re-appearance of Ki Joon's brother and ex-fiancee, the relationship between Ah Jung and Ki Joon complicates further.

I can't wait to read how the ending of both dramas will be. Yet on the other hand, I am hoping that it will not end so soon. :) Hahaha.. Contradicting isn't it. Hopefully both shows will be aired in Singapore soon!

~ Gladys' Cycling Lesson ~

Recently, we have been taking the children to the Serangoon Park Connector (that now connects to the Punggol Promenade Riverside Walk). On some days we would walk all the way to the Riverside Walk, while on other days, we took the kids down for cycling.

Hubby has took great efforts to teach Gladys how to bicycle. On her first lesson, Hubby hold and run with her while she is 'cycling'. On Gladys' second lesson, she gained more confidence and progressed tremendously. Now, she can bicycle for a very short distance.

Gladys' still has a lot more to learn. (e.g. she needs to know how to start and control her bicycle.) Once our little girl can bicycle, we can look forward to engaging the whole family on a cycling journey along the Punggol Promenade. :)

~ Movies - Kungfu Panda 2 ~

Thanks to the organisation committee of Hubby's company, we got free tickets to watch Kungfu Panda 2 late last month. ^_^ Apart from the free tickets, there are also free canned drinks and popcorns too.

Kungfu Panda 2 is really funny and entertaining. The children had a good laugh and enjoyed the show very much. :)
