~ 2010 Christmas Parties ~

This is an outdated post on the parties that we attended during Christmas last week.

Christmas Party @ Steven's house on Christmas Eve.

It was the first time we stayed over at Steven's house past midnight and countdown for Christmas. Denver and Gladys had so much fun with the other children and didn't feel tired at all! Food, drinks, games, toys and Christmas presents!

Group photo @ the Christmas Party (Thanks to Jefz) :)

Christmas + Birthday Party @ Andy's house on Christmas Day

We went to Andy's house for another Christmas cum Birthday party on Christmas Day. It was Wenwei (25th Dec) and Wenyi (27th Dec) birthday celebration. So nice to have birthday around Christmas season. :)

Everyone is having a good time.

It has also been a long time since we met up with old friends.

The children get along quickly and easily.

Thank you Steven & Andy for the invite and we have a great Christmas week. ^_^

It's Christmas! We went to 2 Christmas parties and the children received a lot of presents over the last 2 days. They are definitely the happiest lots with lots of chocolates, candies, games, fun and new found friends.

Hope everyone had FUN and a GOOD time together too! MERRY CHRISTMAS  once again and looking forward to welcoming a NEW YEAR!

~ Counting down to Christmas Parties! ~

Finally! We have completed our Christmas shopping with all the presents ready! This year, we bought a lot of gifts and it took me ages to finish wrapping them up. A very colourful sight and in all kinds of shapes and sizes. The children are just as excited to give them away. Looking forward to the Christmas parties next week! ^_^

~ Christmas 2009 ~

It's Christmas! The first thing Denver wanted to do when he wakes up is open the presents. I ask him to wait for his sister so that they can do this together.

They got quite a fair bit of stuff already and this is only Part 1! The children started off having fun with the small remote car. Zoom... Bang... Vrooom...

It's a Sunny Christmas Morning! As planned, Hubby drove us down to Pasir Ris Park for some morning exercise. Visit http://bpdgtravels.blogspot.com/2009/12/christmas-2009_5797.html for more details.

We popped by IKEA to grab some items, had lunch at Kovan area and went to my brother's house. The kiddos got presents from their 舅舅 and 舅母. Another round of tearing the wrappers. Stationary and Colouring sets for them! Very sweet and thoughtful. ^_^

3rd round - The presents came from Eileen's & JunLong's parents. Denver always judge the value of the presents by it's size. Believing the Bigger the Better! So he was like "Huh? My one so small?" "Why Meimei got toys?" -_- I have to teach some sense into him to appreciate the things he got.

Final round - The last Christmas presents for this year. Again, the children are looking at the size and checking out what presents each is getting. Gladys got a jewerly set and Denver loves his remote Helicopter toy from their 小叔 and 婶婶.

Apart from all the fun and presents.... Gladys has been making me mad today. She has not been listening.. not napping well and has been extremely stubborn insisting on the things she wanted. My blood pressure increased as I scolded her leaving her crying. -___- Of course I am NOT going to give in and let her has her way. Hopefully she'll be more discipline when she starts school.

Other than that, it seems to be a rather eventful day. Children are so blessed nowadays. I don't have that luxury during my childhood days as money is hard-earned. Toys are also very minimal. I hope that as the children grow, they will learn and understand that besides getting so many gifts during every Christmas, they should not take things for granted and will learn how to share and give too.

~ Silent Night ~

In the past, we will be having Christmas party at Hubby's friend's house. Since there isn't any planned for this year, we had a rather quiet and peaceful Christmas Eve. The kids received lesser presents too even though there are still some yet to be collected from their Uncles. :) Denver can't wait to open his presents tomorrow and if the weather is good, we'll be going cycling at Pasir Ris. ^_^

The Heng family now signing off Wishing All A Merry Christmas! Ho Ho Ho!!

~ Christmas Presents ~

Denver woke up really early and woke me up too.. Yawnzz... The first thing he said was "Mummy!! Can I open the presents?" As Gladys is still sleeping, I asked him to wait awhile longer.. He gave me that "Huh!! But I want to open now leh" and keep nagging at me. I had no choice but to wake Gladys up and carry her to the living room to open the presents..

She was a bit cranky at first and refused to open them. :p but after awhile, she warms up and started to find it FUN to tear the wrappers and see whats within. :D Denver was so happy to see toys and board game. He is starting to be picky and can tell me that "I wish it is not a shirt. :)"... "Oh!! It's a Toy! My wish come true!".. -___-

Last year Gladys was too young about Christmas.. This time she finally can open her own presents and eat goodie stuff like Log cake. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

~ MERRY CHRISTMAS! ~

After getting back to work for a couple of days and now it's CHRISTMAS EVE!!! Yeah!! I am really in a holiday mood.. :D Afterall, this is the time to enjoy and celebrate... but because CNY is also near the corner, I have also been busy doing cleaning up almost every night.

As per previous years, we will go to Steven's house for Christmas dinner and gift exchange. Denver and Gladys got a lot of Presents this year.. and they can't wait to open them ALL!!! As it was quite late when we reached home, I told Denver to be patient and open them tomorrow morning with his sister. :)

See how much stuff they got!! Again I must emphasis.. kids nowadays are too fortunate! Since there is no Christmas tree at home, I placed all their presents nicely on the table. Hopefully when they wake up, they will be happy to see the nice display Mummy has make. :)

~ Merry Christmas! ~

For consequtive 3 nights I have been indulging in Christmas party food... First was at Chunho's place... Yesterday evening was at Steven's house where they too have cater buffet (from Standford). There were rice, lamb, prawns, small cakes, fruit platter, smoked salmon, beef, cupcakes, wine etc... Hasn't been visiting Steven's place for a year and I must say his house has been renovating every year.. :) Each time I go there will be something different... A new coat of paint each year and this time, they revamp their toilets, dining table lights and bedroom. A very neat and tidy place. I hope my house has lesser stuff.. as long as it is easy to maintain.. I am happy. :)

Just returned from my bro-in-law's house after another round of Christmas dinner. We ordered KFC, Pizza, Honey-baked Ham (2kg) and bought bread, Log-cake and Otah. My inlaws made curry and chicken wings... It is a small family affair and only a few closed ones are invited. We ate a lot while enjoying the cable TV programs.... the kids went to play with their Christmas presents while the adults chit-chat.. Gladys being too young just kept herself busy walking around and 'Mum-Mum'... hehehe... She started walking last week and has been roaming around the house ever since..

Christmas is coming to an end and next week we are going to welcome a New Year... 6 more days before we say bye bye to 2007!
