~ Hello Vios! ~

LOVE our new car! Everything about it!! The kids love the colour - Blue Grey (both are Hubby's lucky colour) and even the smell! ^_^. 哈哈~新车当然好。The new Vios's interior is more spacious and the major plus point for me is the rear flat floor (no hump at the back) giving the back passengers more leg space. In addition, there are more compartments with reading lights at the front. The car is slightly higher and the seats seem to be more comfty.

The interior 2 tone leather seat is also similar to what we had for our 1st Car. :)

~ Bye Bye Vios ~

Hubby will be getting his new car tomorrow! We upgraded from a "Manual Vios" to an "Auto Vios". :p Ok la.. no $$$ to afford a bigger/better one ok. At least the new Vios seems to be slightly bigger and its NEW!

Here's some history of the cars that we own before....

Our first car was a 1.5l Daewoo Kalos. (Chevrolet brand replaced the Daewoo brand and I think the Kalos is now rebranded as Chevrolet Aveo). We bought it in Year 2003 when Denver was just born. Unfortunately, this car consumes too much petrol.. we have to pump every week and it's ripping us off! Even though the car plate number has brought us some luck, we can't maintain it in a long run. Hence it was sold off after 2 years in 2005. Still, our Kalos has taken us on many of our trips in Malaysia and we really felt 舍不得....

After surviving without a car for 1 year, we bought our current car (Toyota Vios) in 2006 when Gladys is born. This car is definitely much more maintable but never had the chance to drive out of Singapore. Maybe thats it's not as lucky as our first car :p...Nevertheless, it has 'serve' our family well for the past 3 half years taking us all around Singapore.

So here we bid farewell to our 'old' car and looking forward to welcome our new Vios and the Chinese New Year.

~ Car Accident *again ~

The year started with a car accident by a lorry and 8 months later, towards the end of the year our car went through another car accident. The only difference is Hubby is not the driver. This time lbil drove and the car was hit by a lorry. According to him, seems like there was minor damages with scratches on the mirror side and maybe the side of the car. (I'm not sure). The good thing is no one was injured.

Come to think of it, I have a very tough year so far.. everytime Hubby go on an overseas trip, I can't help worry and think.. "Ok.. what is it going to be this time?" Am I down on my luck or what?

I can only hope that with the start of the car accident at the beginning of the year marking the start of our bad luck, hopefully it will end with this car accident to mark the end of the unhappiness so far.

Most importantly, I wish that everyone be safe and sound.

~ Car Accident ~

We had a shocking evening.. Hubby's car was being hit by a lorry from behind while he was driving from a slip road turning out to the main road at Sengkang. Denver, Gladys and I were sitting at the back at the time. It was a loud BANG and we were SHOCKED!

Hubby's car boot was badly damaged... :( He was already sick and lost his voice.. so I had to be his translator..I helped to call his agent, insurance company and the tow services.. Actually I also caught a flu earlier and was on MC yesterday.. now all the talking also make my throat uncomfortable and dry. sighz...

Luckily none of us were injured.. Denver even got down the car to see the damages.. he even walked up to the lorry driver and ask him "Uncle, why you knock my Daddy's car?" ....... and that uncle actually reply him that it was an accident.. So funny. Well, hopefully hubby can claim the payments smoothly.

We took pictures, wrote down the details and hubby drove back home. The tow servcies say they will come at 9.30pm to tow the car away. We waited and they call up to say it has to be changed to 1230am cos all their drivers are out... Fine.. we waited again... by 12 midnight, the guy called again and ask if we can change it to 6am instead.. -____- I was kinda frastrated by then... cos I am tired..just ended my late night meeting and my hubby waited for them to come..Now they are telling me that they couldn't make it! I wasn't too harsh on him and kinda indicate that it wasn't too fair for us.. making us waited for sooo long.. Then again, there is nothing he can do. Well, no point waiting... I request that they'll be punctual at 615am instead....which they did. I got an early morning call at 6.10am and the car is finally being towed away for repairs..

Hubby managed to loan a replacement car.. a new Toyota Vios model. Denver likes the 'new' car and finds it cool.. It will be with us for another 10 to 12 days as that's the amount of time before our car is returned. That's very looooong and I hope all the accident payments eventually get sorted and settled soon.
